This is the OG! I love books about relationships based on some unique, intangible bond and always finding your way together.

This was very real and even the ending was very sensitive to reality, and presented it maturely.

"All these years, they've been like two little plants sharing the same plot of soil, growing around one another, contorting to make room, taking certain unlikely positions."

I loved this so much and I saw a lot of myself in both Marianne and Connell. Both characters were written in a way that made them feel like people I actually know and although they could be unlikeable at times, I found them lovable for that very reason. I will be binging the show immediately

I kept thinking about it after I finished it. With the pacing, I found it helpful to watch the TV show first and then read the book
