This book could only have the potential a guilty pleasure, nothing more; and even at that, it didn't really deliver on the 'pleasure' part. In terms of plot, I would say there wasn't much substance and the end was kind of unsatisfying. No one really "won" and it left me wondering what the point of it all was.

In short, a snoozefest.

The book also made mention of several characters and other loopholes that left questions that largely went unanswered.  And every single character was unlikeable. Towards the end, I really was just looking to finish it.

Did not see the end coming. Another quick easy read by AR Torre. I like her style of making a lot of chapters that are short. Tricks you into reading more and finishing the book fast, in addition to craving more of the story.

Solidly one of the worst books I’ve ever read. I didn’t enjoy the writing style and the plot was just painful. I skipped most of the middle and read through the ending, the only reason I didn’t DNF it was to see that some form of revenge was exacted or I wouldn’t have been able to let it go.

Where do I even begin...I'm head over heels in love with this story! I finished this book a little less than a month ago and I still think about it every single day. For a lack of better words, Cat lives in my mind rent free!
In "Every Last Secret" by A.R Torre, we switch between the pov of two successful women, Cat and Neena. After Neena secures a job at the company Cat's husband owns and moves into the house directly next door to the couple, Neena's less than innocent motives become a threat to Cat's perfect life. In a story filled with lust, lies, and jealousy, we are left pondering what we would do if we found ourselves in similar circumstances.
I loved the use of dual pov and think that Torre did an amazing job creating two distinct main characters that readers can both relate to and despise at certain moments throughout the story. I often found myself relating to Cat's inner conflicts and struggles with jealousy and as such, she has 100% become one of my favorite main characters to date. The plot was fast-paced, entertaining, and kept me interested the entire time. The ending twist was also shocking and wasn't completely far-fetched or predictable like the endings in a lot of thrillers.
Overall I give full props to A.R Torre for writing an amazing story and will be recommending "Every Last Secret" to anyone who will listen! I have a few other A.R Torre books on my wish list and I am very excited to see what else Torre has written...I already know they will be great!

Fast paced read. Disappointed by the end because I guessed what was really happening and was hoping I was wrong.

I have such complicated feelings towards this book I kinda liked it but also really hated it. I liked the ‘who done it’ idea but hated the cheating and affair aspect of it (which was pretty much all the book) which is just down to personal opinion I suspect but I really frickin hated it.

Hated 2/4 of the main characters (Neena and William if that wasn’t obvious aka absolute scumbags) and only carried on reading because I was heavily rooting for Matt and Cat to get revenge. Like I get it Neena had a very tough beginning to life with an abusive father and a lot of unresolved trauma but that still doesn’t justify you being a shitty person and attempting to ruin multiple peoples lives and constantly having affairs on her loving husband. She was also a huge hypocrite so was William tbh just overall horrible people. I also hated the fact Cat stayed with William but justified ruining Neenas life you can’t do one without the other like I get it’s ‘your husband and you love him’ but fuck that! He cheated on you and made you think you were ‘crazy’ when you suspected things 🤮 I also saw the author said she wrote Neena to have relatable aspects but I just could not find a single thing I liked about her except maybe her ‘drive’ (I guess we’ll say) to have a better life ‘that she deserved’ but the actions she made to to get to that point just are not justifiable.  Also everybody’s husband/boyfriend/partner annoys them at times but I just thought at times it was almost abuse? Emotionally and physically, in my head I imagined it the other way around and if Matt told Neena not to eat certain things or elbowed her in the gut when she said silly things and stuff it would be completely different I think anyway.

I saw a lot of people say in the reviews that the ‘plot twist’ was predictable and I’ll back that tbh but it was still good I guess. Pretty much all the way through I was rooting for the exact thing to happen anyways!

I will admit this is my fastest read of 2023 so far I was addicted to this book and couldn’t put it down, even though I pretty much eye rolled through every page I still couldn’t stop and I just had to find out if my two faves got justice. I also loved reading about their lifestyle, I loved gossip girl and some of the things they did kinda reminded me of that ‘elite’ type of lifestyle which I loved.

I feel really bad and feel like I’ve been super negative about this book which I don’t like, their were some parts I enjoyed as stated above but I just couldn’t get over the whole affair storyline it just wasn’t for me 🤷🏽‍♀️
