Chet Gecko mysteries are always entertaining. I like the nods to noir.

This was a good book for my 5th grade reluctant reader. It was fun to read it in a 1920's detective voice, too. The chapters were nice and short, and there were several places to stop and ask for predictions. This was a nice read.

I remember reading this mystery series in elementary school and just had to re-read it. Just as good as I remembered, but there are some jokes that I did quite get the first time through.
Chet is a fourth grader, who works as a private eye. He is quick witted, resourceful, and often times funny. Follow his first case of the missing gecko.

This book was funnily written, like 'gum shoe' talk. One of my favorite students was reading these, so I had to check them out.
