This was an enjoyable book, blending together the fictional world of Jack Ryan and the CIA with the actual events surrounding the Pope in 1981.
not my favorite jack ryan book, but still very good. I enjoyed seeing more spy craft from the viewpoint of the Moscow agents making contact with and extracting the rabbit.

Slow and unsurprising. Too much introspection from the characters. Jack Ryan is barely in the first half.

Blech. I am not sure why, other than hope that it would improve, I kept reading this drivel. It was so plain and uninspired. I hoped fort the clancy of Red October, not the later day page churner.

Fun and quick read (or listen). Brings back lots of history from when the soviet union was around. Not as suspenseful as some of his other books, but still enjoyable.

I don’t know why I hoped for more. Just unnecessary paragraphs of the authors personal belief in American superiority, with a health dose of sexism.
