I went into this blind, and tore through it in one sitting. An incredible work of historical fiction that brings to light acts of defiance and bravery by ordinary people, that are slowly lost with time.

The first book in a while that I have been sad for it to end. It was a wonderful story unlike any I have heard before about a Jewish forger during WWII.

Eva is a semi-retired librarian in Florida. Shelving books one morning, she sees the image of a book she hasn’t seen in sixty-five years—a book she recognizes as The Book of Lost Names. The book is housed in a French library and it appears to contain some sort of code, but researchers have no idea what the code means. Only Eva holds the answer—but will she have the strength to revisit old memories and help reunite those lost during the war?
