J'ai aimé que l'auteure parvienne à retourner certains des plus gros clichés en romance tout en en jouant un maximum. Et surtout ça faisait un bon bout de temps qu'une comédie romantique ne m'avait tiré autant de rires.

I debated between four and five stars on this because there's a point when they're first getting together that the pacing seems a bit slower and for that small section in Spain it drags a tad, but then again, like I mentioned in my status the jokes are funny but not as funny the second time around because I remembered them, so I think maybe that section where it seemed to drag a bit might have been because I've read it before and remembered parts of it and therefore I can't count that against the book.

This story is hilarious and Caroline seems like the friend that most of wish we had. I mean imagine a friend who names her orgasms Os and talks to them as if they are an actual entity. You could not have a friend like that without constantly laughing around here and having a good time regardless of location. Caroline could probably make taxes funny. Most of the book is told in a first person narrative from Caroline's point of view however there are moments when she gives us glimpses in to other characters heads for a scene and scenes which are just humorous text messages. Normally that sort of switch would bug me but with this story it didn't. The scene in the car where she switches between the thoughts of all four occupants had me laughing way too hard to be worried about point of view and the ending was just Purfect.

From the very opening scene where we first encounter Spanx, Purrina and Giggles I was laughing so hard I was gasping for air, in addition to that reading a book where not only the cat is a major character but the woman's orgasm is like it's very own character too it's bound to be hilarious. Even on the second reading this is a book so funny that it puts most comedians and every comedy movie I've ever watched to shame. Yes I guess it's technically a romance, but it's the sort of romance that I really feel that if any guy picked this up he'd be just as hooked as his female counterparts.

One thing I really loved about this book is that it's a romance that actually aligned with the times. Gone are the virginal women or virginal wannabes ashamed of having a sex life, these characters are career oriented and very in touch with their sexuality. Nobody even wonders how many partners the other has experienced because it really doesn't matter. The small amount of sexism you witness during Caroline's date with her ex is dealt with when she kicks him to the curb because he doesn't even have the decency to learn what her job title is as if her job is somehow less important than his. She's like I'm better than that. This is a woman who knows she deserves respect and is unwilling to settle for anything less. Plus she won't allow herself to be body shamed, not even by her own insecurities which just plain rocks. This is the sort of female lead that you want to know, you in some ways want to be and would be proud to have your daughter become.

I don't even think recommend is the right word for what I would say to others about this book, it's more like if you haven't read this book are you insane? What are you waiting for? I didn't just like this book, I LOVED IT!

This book is laugh out loud and hysterically funny. I can’t remember the last time I laughed within the first 3 sentences of a book. This book starts off with a bang, and it all continues from there. I absolutely love Caroline’s inner comedy, this girl should do stand up and just let the thoughts flow. Caroline was a great character, she was hilarious, smart, stubborn, and knew herself. There wasn’t a time in this entire book that I didn’t enjoy her, from the moment she became “Pink Nightie Girl” to when she missed her O and started baking. Caroline was a terrific character, and then add in the lovely ladies, and Simon. This book is wonderfully addictive.
Caroline and Simon together were so sweet, and I loved that they were snarky and sarcastic but had that caring underneath. Simon was adorable and had me laughing so hard I was crying when Clive the Cat buried his claws into his back. I couldn’t believe it, and poor Clive was just trying to protect Caroline.
Clive the cat was almost my favorite part of this book, he almost had true love with Purina. The girl who meowed during sex, but was frightened of cats to the point of screaming. I don’t want to give any of the plot away, because this book should be enjoyed as is. I definitely look forward to more by Alice Clayton.

So cute and sweet. Different spin on the typical neighbor love story. I love the way they met! Simon was great! I really enjoyed it!

It's ok, but felt about 100 pages too long.

I gave it a shot because I'd heard so much praise for it, but it felt like a poorly done early 2000s rom com

This was one of my favorite fanfics ever and I truly loved the book adaptation! Extremely funny and sexy! It's the kind of book you can't stop reading, but at the same time you also don't want to finish it.

Oh my goodness, laugh out loud hilarity! The ridiculous antics, the in-your-business friends, and of course Clive the cat!

I'm totally late to the Wallbanger party, but so glad I made it! Don't let the cover/title fool you - this is not your run of the mill, liberally spattered with overly-detailed-bedroom antics, contemporary romance. Not at all an erotic romance, this is definitely a humorous girl-meets-boy chick lit-esque book, and a fun fun read. I didn't want to put it down and was laughing out loud throughout.

A definite recommend!
