Most of this story felt like I'd fallen I to a bizarro world where Lovecraft writes cozy fantasy stories, and honestly I didn't mind it.
Not much of a story to speak of, but it's got some vibes

Whilst not a bad Lovecraft story by any means, ‘The White Ship’ does seem to be one of his stories that ponders along without really heading anywhere…filled with overly lavish descriptions and a myriad of exotic names. But the reveal at the end IS good, and definitely makes the book better - upon rereading it there are new things I notice, it just seems difficult to shake my initial reaction to the story.
