The Lost Hero: The Graphic Novel, by Robert Venditti, Rick Riordan

There are some graphic novels that fit the original text of the book like a glove. This is not one of them. It reads almost like an afterthought, like someone wrote it simply to cash in on Riordan's novels. The art is also strange - character designs feel rushed and half-finished and at times ugly. The only one I really liked was Thalia and she plays a ridiculously reduced role in this version of the novel. My advice is to simply skip this and read the original. You won't regret it.

I practically flew through this like a child of Zeus.

This graphic novel was so entertaining and well done that I would recommend it to anyone who has read The Lost Hero book. I haven't read The Lost Hero in the longest time so I can't attest to its accuracy but from what I remember, it looked pretty great!! The artist did such a good job in bringing Riordan's character to life that I can't wait to read The Son of Neptune in graphic novel form.

I mean the story is amazing as always, just the style of drawing is not my cup of tea.

I haven’t read the original, but the graphic novel was a quick and exciting read.

I REALLY REALLY enjoyed that.

I didn't find a need to go into the novel to find out parts that I was missing.

This was a great addition and I look forward to reading the next.

However, I am sadden to know that only 2 books in this series have been made into graphic novels.

I didn't enjoy this as much as I thought it would. Percy Jackson has disappeared. Piper, Leo and Jason are sent to a camp for children who suffer from behavoir issues. All three of the children are Demi-gods. The Demi-gods are endangered, because mother nature (Gaia) plans on destroying everyone and everything in her path. Mother nature frees all the monsters in Tartarus to aide her in halting Piper, Leo and Jason on their quest. Piper, Leo and Jason are given a quest to save their Demi-god population. They are a part of a prophecy of other Demi-gods who have the power to defeat (Gaia) together.
