You can't really say much about someone's diary.

This diary is the only look of this kind that is available to people. A first person account, written by a child, about her time in hiding from the Nazis during WWII.

For such a young age, Anne is so vocal and is able to express her thoughts so clearly and beautifully. It's sad that she never got to become the person she wanted to be but her story lives on and at least that came true for her. An amazing read and one that makes you reevaluate your own beliefs and ideals.

If this book was fiction it would be pretty bad, but since it's a real girl in a real situation it really makes you think about the deeper implications of war and unjustified hate. In that way it's a rather heartbreaking book.
**took so long to read as I borrow from the library and took too long and it has a VERY long hold list to get it checked out again. Length of time is not related to how long it took me to get through it!**
