I read this when I was pretty young. I thought it was amazing.

Four years after the Perdido Beach dome went down, and four years since I've read the first book of the 'Gone' franchise.

When I first heard of the sequel trilogy I've got really excited. Then I've read about morphing and new kind of powers and it sounded dull and out of place. I have to admit, I havn't change my opinion since then. I've read this trilogy mainly because I was interested what happend to characters of the previous books after the events of the FAYZ. And here comes another disappointment, there is very little about old characters in these books.

However I believe Hero is a better book than the previous one, as I didn't get bored so quickly. The plot was kinda meh. Another bad guy which needs to be stopped, another uneceserry homicides, just to shock people (which obviously didn't work, cause author's doing it constantly). Maybe I didn't get bored, because I was excited to find out how it'll end. Althougth the ending was suggested many times in the book, I was waiting for some plot twist or something... but no luck here, it ended predictably. This ending is probably the worst author could do, it makes previous books pointless. But one thing that I like is that he left it open.

I'm not sure what to think, I've enjoyed the entire home series so much. However I don't tend to like a you choose your ending book. The ending felt a tiny bit rushed. But i can't say I didn't enjoy this book overall, it was very entertaining I really liked the new villain. I was actually happy with this one dying this time. I'm glad some of the government got some payback as well. Yeah I can't say too much with spoilers, this is probably and surprisingly one of the least emotional books in the series. Usually I cried to the books and this one I was shocked at times, the deaths were terrifying and things i definitely loved from past books but I just didn't feel like it was everything I would've wanted from the last book. I will still 100% recommend this entire series and spinoff to everyone though. I need to have more people to talk to about it.

Lost half a point for the ending. Not sure how to feel about that.
