Found this book at Bookriot.com

That was a beautiful book. I felt like I was reading poetry the entire time.

The beautiful writing is definitely a 4, so if you enjoy this type of book, it's worth a read and it's not very long. I prefer more of a story line when I'm reading, so I liked it, but didn't love it.

I would give this more than five stars if it were possible to do so. A beautiful, haunting evocation of growing up female, growing up black and female, growing up. Took my breath away. (Audio version)

Ditto for the print version.
