I love me some lurid manga/anime and I am always curious when western creators try their hands at replicating the mediums with western sensibilities. And this caught my eye with the garishly colorful, american superhero anatomy-focused style and culture hybrid title.
However...
I knew something was up as soon as I turned the first page and was met with a quote from Doug TenNapel in the year 2021. That dog whistle could be heard for miles!
For all the amazing aesthetic qualities it is nothing more than grossly nationalistic right wing propaganda. And I mean like actual propaganda! The little I read of it was so on the nose that it leaves a sad impression rather than a laughable one. One quick look at the authors' bibliography tells you all you need to know.
It sucks sometimes to be an anime/manga enthusiast and see most of the western takes on the mediums come from people upholding some real gross politics and views of other people but are also the likeliest to catch your eye since they know best how to market themselves. Can't polish a turd though, the stink always gives it away no matter how good the turd looks.

Yes, a woman can enjoy doing whatever she wants, including being feminine and sewing while kicking ass. But seems to be written by a man for men as commentary on feminism while simultaneously objectifying the character and making them as sexy as possible, because anime/cartoon girls are hot.
