This book had me in tears, I enjoyed the friendship between Dannie and Bella, it was so well written and the love between them was that of sisters.
I went into the book expecting a romance and at one point felt that it would take One Day in December direction but the last few pages changed everything. I do think that the genre of romance is mislabeled, the story was not romantic but it was still a great book.

I’m bummed because as far as I can tell this seems to be the last volume in this series (leaving us on a cliffhanger) and we barely saw Chet (my favorite character) and this story really just made me hate Julie and Selena’s relationship even more so than in the last volume. This volume led to basically nothing and barely had a plot or lesson that made any logical sense with past actions of the characters. This one was a huge bummer because I felt like it could have been a story about a breakup but also about being ok with being independent but instead we never got that.

Wow, we have turned up the drama, the mystery, the intrigue , and the heartbreak!! I'm just reeling from the cliffhanger at the end! Not only was this a wonderful addition to the world, it showcased a whole new part of it. The underground water city was so cool!! I loved it!! I am so so so excited to see where this story goes in the next voume!!
