not the FMC falling for the guy who let his friends literally (not figuratively) piss on and participated in the act. pathetic. Do better romance authors - why would anyone wanna be with this kind of bully?

also, why did the author have their English characters talking like that (like something out of the great gatsby) like I promise you no one in 21st century Britain talks like that; it (along with the horrendous British accents) was embarrassing. The FMC was also a sell out - she really lowkey wanted to be part of the society making her life a living hell under the guise that she was trying to get in with them to “soLvE hEr ROoMaTeS MuRdEr”. Honestly that was the only thing that kept me going with this - and then it left off on a cliffhanger and I really don’t care enough to see what happens next.

I only gave it 2 stars because I can’t take away the fact that the plot was good, but as a whole, it was very hard to read. I skimmed through so much of it, I'm sure I missed a few things. I personally don’t like erotica, and I didn’t know this was that kind of book until I was already interested in the plot. This should be labelled as bad erotic fanfiction because that's what it was. The writing was juvenile and unenjoyable. While bullying is a form of abuse, this book is very much “I did it because I love you” and that’s abuse in its purest. It's not dark or brooding, it’s romanticising abuse. Not just that, but also absolutely blasphemous in every sense of the word. I'm not religious and even I had trouble with the disrespect. 10/10 would not recommend.
