This one broke my heart in the end. So many things happened and haven't yet happened with the end of six books, it's overwhelming how much one story can stir up so many emotions. I love these characters and their journeys.

I'm not sure which book has been my favorite. But I have a feeling it's either the order of the phoenix, or this one.
The time Harry and Dumbledore spent together, the closer look at Tom's and Draco's lives were really enjoyable. I also really liked that there seemed to be a more complete picture of emotions in this book, it didn't just show happiness and anger, but also sadness, grief, horror, and love.

“It is the unknown we fear when we look upon death and darkness, nothing more.”
I’m loving my reread of this series! It’s still so magical & this book feels a bit more like the first four… I loved how the bulk of the book, nothing really crazy happens until the end where everything changes. And unfortunately, it will never be the same. It's a little dark in places & leaves you unsettled as Harry & Dumbledore dive into Voldemort’s past. The flashbacks to the past are absolutely fascinating. Everything seems to be at risk & you just don't know what will happen next… nothing & no one seems to be safe anymore. There is also a touch of romance & not just for Harry… which helps to lighten things. The tension in this book is palpable making it really hard put down. Sides are chosen. People you trust turn out to be not who they say they are… our journey is soon coming to an end. On to the final book in a fantastic series!
