When I found out I was pregnant in August, as I so often do with issues that come up for me, I ordered books to help me get through. This is the first book I read, and I wish I had waited until I was much further along in my pregnancy. There’s a lot of obvious focus on the birth here and I don’t think I was ready to read about it (terrifying!) and was still processing everything I needed to do in just the first trimester, all while juggling being sick. 😞
Timing being everything, this did really give me a good first introduction into things to consider when preparing to give birth. I was concerned there would be heavy emphasis on more crunchy/granola ways of doing things (doula, midwife, etc) but it was really open and inclusive of all options and choices. Might be a good one for me to pick up again!
