I loved both characters and especially their time in the Highlands. It kind of stalled a bit for me but was a good book overall. They were both loyal and respectful of each other. I do wish it had more of the others, Tristan's friends from the service in it, but this book made me want to delve more into their stories too. I think this book could have used additional characters, especially at his home in the Highlands.

Annabelle hasn’t had the easiest of lives. She had always been under someone’s thumb. Freedom sounds so nice but clearly impossible for her.

Duke of Ardore is set out for revenge and no one will stand in his way. He will take out the one who ruined his sister’s life. He didn’t expect to meet a lady in the moonlight.

I loved the kindness of both the characters towards each other and others. You root for good things to happen in their lives. I truly enjoyed this one and recommend it to anyone who likes happily ever after.

I received an ARC from the author to read and review. All opinions are my own.
