I loved everything about this book. It is the perfect reimagined fairytale and all the characters felt so fleshed out and realistic, compared to the typical fantasy archetypes. If you’re sick of reading yet another Cinderella or beauty and the beast inspired story, this is the breath of fresh air you have been craving. Based on the Korean fairytale of Shim Cheong,this story has everything- adventure, thrills, heartbreak, romance and heart-stopping moments of courage and standing up for yourself, your family, and your home. This has become the newest addition to my all-time fantasy favorites and one of the best books I’ve read in 2022. I cannot recommend it enough!
