A wonderful read that left a smile on my face. I love all the characters and their bold personalities. I am sold! Nathan Glass is such a great insurance salesman.

This is “a story.” Every book is a story of course but this is the first time in a long time I was feeling like I was actually listening to someone telling me the story. I was interested enough to want to keep reading. I wish I had read this sooner, this book has been on my shelf for years. A solid 4 stars.

a classic new york city, where-anything-can-happen story. I wish everybody spoke like the characters do in this — it’s not real-life dialogue, it’s not book dialogue, it’s something else and it’s so good. definitely too long but made me want to be picking up more Paul Auster!

Another entertaining, interesting book from Auster. Like most of his books--this story goes off on tangents, sideway journeys and unexpected paths, sometimes better than other times. It's not just one story moving the book forward, it's multiple ones. The writing is clean and spare like always and it's another satisfying PA novel for me.
