Easy to read, lovely characters. I kinda wanted to see how they'd work as a couple, you're waiting for them to finally be together and then the book just... ends.

I surprisingly enjoyed how ordinary the main characters life’s were and how realistic it was. The way they even gravitated towards each other and how slowly (and cautiously for Rebecca) they fell was so heartwarming. The struggles they go through in their individual lives is so well presented and the way they navigate their dreams and their future is truly amazing.

This was a cute and cheesy read. The two main characters were very well-written and relatable, and I really enjoyed the slow-burn progression of their relationship. Everything was super low-stakes, which was somewhat nice as it meant the book was nice and relaxing to read, but I did miss having a moment in the story where things go wrong for the protagonists, because any obstacles they encountered were very quickly resolved. Overall, this was a charming book, if a teensy bit dull at times.

I really loved the two main characters in this book, they actually felt so different and unique from other contemporary romance characters…it was really refreshing! The one thing that is bringing the rating down is that Jack and Rebecca never actually had romantic feelings for one another until the 60-70%  mark, which is just way too late. There was hardly a third act crisis, and so the majority of the plot was just two characters going about their daily lives. It was just a bit too slow for me, but it was still enjoyable.
