A prequel to [b:Patient Zero|3993839|Patient Zero (Joe Ledger, #1)|Jonathan Maberry|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1316125347s/3993839.jpg|4039913], this story contains basically a shootout frenzy and a prospective zombie. In other words, it's a testosterone orgy.

Jonathan Maberry is really good at what he does, but I just can't take much of it.
When writing his action scenes, they're fast-paced and meticulously written, but the violence-porn gets to me after a while. I know there's a big market out there for this (a friend of mine is really into this, and I get into it in small doses), but I just can't take much of it at once.

I've loved all the Joe Ledger books I've listed to so far this one was no exception. It's a nice quick short shorty about Captain Ledger before [b:Patient Zero|3993839|Patient Zero (Joe Ledger, #1)|Jonathan Maberry|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1439953244l/3993839._SX50_.jpg|4039913]
Ray Porter is also an amazing narrator!

A short! little prequel to Patient Zero. It does tell the tale of how Joe Ledger got on Mr Church's radar.

Typical of Maberry. I'm a little biased about the Joe Ledger series. I find it clever, entertaining, and scary.

This was an interesting introduction to the series. Fast-paced and action-filled.
