These books are for children but they are surprisingly disturbing. From creatures that paralyze and consume victims alive to fratricide, this series really only gets more intense from here. Our main trio are loveable, but their group has conflict and those conflicts sometimes do get them into trouble. Ultimately, these books built up one of my favorite universes and reading them again as an adult is wonderful. They're short, fast reads for the entirety of the Quest arc before getting into longer, slightly slower reads for Shadowlands and Dragons of Deltora.
