What a fun ride. This was not high brow literature, but it wasn't trying to be; it was a fun, funny, sometimes gross romp. I love unique twists on the zombie genre, and this was a good one.

This book blew me away! It's incredibly unique in that it balances highly tense moments with almost heartwarming ones. The characters genuinely are lovable which makes the book even scarier for you. This honestly may be my new favorite thriller. It's such a perfect book. If you're seeing this, please read it
Edit upon reread: this book still holds a unique place for me. It's so rare to find a character driven thriller where the characters are not irredeemable jerks. This may be the only thriller to ever make me tear up. The plot is really good. The use of the perspective from the fungus riddled mind is phenomenal. I'll be trying to find something else like this for a long while
