I enjoyed this book. I'd love to read more about these women and their lives in Pick, Texas

Really cute story and exactly what you would expect from the titles. There were moments that made me lol mostly with Nettie, and I almost teared up a few times. Cute ending

Awful dialogue, lazy descriptions and just... inane characters. Like I hated all of them, particularly the ones I was supposed to like.

What a sweet and delicious read!

Jancy Wilson has found herself stranded in the small town of Pick, Texas after her car has caught fire in the parking lot of the The Strawberry Hearts Diner. Jancy’s original plans for fleeing the Loan Star State are place on hold and she soon takes a job at the very location her car caught fire, The Strawberry Hearts Diner. What is meant to be a two week job to raise enough money to be on her way, Jancy finds what she didn't even know she was looking for, roots.

This was very sweet story and I found myself in love with the fictional town of Pick, TX. As a native Texan I identified with the southern charm that could be found in the characters of this book.

This was the first book that I have read by Ms. Brown and what a delightful read it was!

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Not bad for a freebie from Amazon. Set in small town Texas 4 women from 3 generations show how strong they can be.

2.5☆ for the fluffy, escapist read that I needed. It's adorable and unrealistic, predictable to a T, and a little too hokey at times (especially the dialogue), but it's also clean and wraps up with a happy little bow at the end. This one is especially slow but it didn't bother me.
