I love the authors voice and the way the book built to broader points about disability justice as well as community care as a whole.

A slightly different pick than my usual Dis Studies reads in that it is both written from non-cis/hetero and non-white perspective, and that it is on the whole optimistic. This book envisions a crip future brought about by the necessity of mutual aid and survival skills in an ableist world threatened by pandemic and climate disaster, whilst celebrating the joys of disability. I've not yet experienced these joys, but this book may have helped somewhat.
