Loved it
I loved that fact Harlow already knew Black. There wasn't a lot of awkward moments between them. Definitely lots of action. One of my new favorites.

I really enjoyed this one! I loved getting to know Black better and watching him get to know Harlow and build a relationship. This one stays in Colorado Springs as it is a women’s shelter that is under threat this time. I loved watching Black fate Harlow on the down-low since she has had such horrible dates and was totally put off on dating anymore. This story has more intrigue as they are trying to put the pieces together to figure out who is behind the harassment and threats. It was well written and engaging and I am excited for the next ones in the series.
The narrator did a good job with the story and the characters and adding that extra dynamic to help bring it alive.

This was OK.
I didn't find it as good as the previous books. It felt quite tame in comparison and although the sex scenes fit a little easier in this book I just didn't find myself loving it.
Harlow is an interesting character and I liked she was normal size for a chef but cooks healthy stuff instead of non healthy things...

Defending Harlow the fourth book in the Mountain Mercenaries series was a bit of a mixed bag for me. As it was a good and at times entertaining story. But, it lacked the pace, action and danger of the previous books. As well as the suspense at least until the last couple of chapters. And the two lead characters didn't really shine. Plus, there seemed to be too much emphasis on the relationship between Black and Harlow rather than the danger Black was supposed to be defending Harlow from. Yet it was still engaging to read and undoubtedly the storyline did have some nice moments. Not to mention the characters as a whole were great. And so for that reason I'll definitely be looking out for the next book in the series. But I'm not sure Defending Harlow will be going on my to read again list, at least for the time being anyway.

Another great offering
Did not disappoint. This one is slightly different from the first three book and just as good and engrossing. Loved the way Black went about wooing Harlow, after all the awful dates she had endured in the past.
