Looove them! Zoey Draven books are somehow always so soft and fluffy. I have to say I do not remember the first two horde king books to be so smutty? Did this one just have majorly horny protagonists? Either way, I much enjoyed

I one hundred percent preferred this installment over the first book. I found the story deeper and the supernatural element if you can call it that was exciting. Is it still supernatural in an alien landscape? I'll have to think on that one for a bit. I loved both the main characters, they gave me serious Khal Drogo/Daenerys vibes in their physical descriptions. I'm also a huge fan of the girl saving the day and saving her man, so I would definitely recommend this one over the other that I have read. I was hoping the story would end the way it did! (Full circle is what I'm looking for in any story.)

another great read

Can be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading in order

I’ll be grabbing the next one although I’m not sure if I’ll like it! Book 3 would have been a nice ending

MISS DRAVEN?? MA’AM?? This book was so incredibly soft and tender but steamy and horny but ALSO engaging and action-packed?? Like Zoey reaaaally packed it all in there and made me get all teary-eyed.

I think this is my favorite of the series so far, which is saying something given that the first two were also five-star reads.

ANYWAYS Vienne is my sweet baby angel of doom and DAVIK!!?? SIR?? I’m a slut for the dark/presumed villainous MMC with a heart of gold. He’s MY horde king, tyvm.

Onto the next book

Yooooooooo this was so good! I loved the magic aspect of this one that wasn’t in the previous books of the series. The way the character development happened for davik was so beautifully done. The beginning of the book I was thinking “how is she going to make this guy lovable??” and by the end, I was totally on board with him. But I felt like the progression of that for him was gradual enough that it made sense. I really enjoyed this book! I do roll my eyes all the times when Vienne thinks she should tell him something but decides against it or “just can’t get the words to come out.” Like, just talk to each other! That and I knocked it down slightly also for the trope of the heroine having to lose her powers at the end to solve the problem. But other than that - it was perfect
