Un manga muy reflexivo, que conjunga un profundo amor por la naturaleza con un gran conocimiento del folklore rural japonés. Es una lectura demandante, requiere mucha atención.

The anime hews fairly close to the manga, but the manga is just subtly creepier/uncanny compared to the anime. It's not quite what I was expecting but I appreciate it.

Mushishi has been one of my favorite anime for a long time now, so reading the source for the first time, I can see what drove the adaptation. It's interesting to note how different the character models are in the first couple of chapters, but the sense of awe and wondrous storytelling still carry through.

Really enjoyed this. I picked it up because the anime is one of my favorites of all time. I've rewatched it at least seven times. I've long wanted to get my hands on the manga, preferably by owning it, but because it's out of print, the prices are pretty up there. However, I decided to rent it from the library because I just couldn't wait any longer to read it

While I was reading this, I was amazed at how close the anime adaptation is to the manga, which I find admirable. In fact, reading this has made me appreciate the anime even more. The stories have the same strange but intriguing quality about them, but in the anime, the music and soft muted colors add even more to the soothing, ethereal atmosphere. As I was reading the manga, I could here the voices of the narrator and characters in my head.

Even though I already knew what would happen in the stories, I still really enjoyed reading this. There are some extra little short stories added in, and the extra information about the translation from Japanese to English in the back of the volume was really interesting.

Looking forward to reading the other volumes!
