"Stephanie and Rachel have been best friends for years, in spite of their differences. Alison is new in town, and immediately becomes an integral part of their group. But is it possible to have two best friends? And how can you call anyone a friend if you can't tell them your most painful secrets?" (From Amazon)
A great novel about friendship - the good and the bad.

this book made me feel so nostalgic for the 80s and i wasn’t even alive then.
i’m probably a little older than the target, middle grade audience but i really loved this, it captured the time period so vividly.

In typical Judy Blume fashion this story weaves together stories of family issues, teenage drama and friendship. It was sweet, a quick read and a nice way to pass a rainy morning.

Green apple shampoo and taking phone calls in closets and (feeling like you're?) losing your best friend will always remind me of this book.
