Didn’t enjoy the prose or the tropes.

This was a nice quick read but going by the title i expected A.J. to actually need protecting rather than being part of a huge event that she was part of. Sadly it felt a little too rushed to really explore the relationships within the story

I don’t know… it is well written and I like that the hero is nerdy military guy who deals more with tech side of the military…. But it’s kind of boring with too much detail about the Eurovision contest and all the acts.

Also can’t wrap my head around why a guy who made millions as a teen from selling an app would enlist instead of going for an officer position. Idk… doesn’t make sense to me.

First book by Caitlyn O'Leary and I loved it!! Well written, action packed, suspense and the HOT chemistry between A.J. and Kane. Definitely a good read!! I received an ARC for my honest opinion.

Just what every SEAL needs to keep him in his place..a sassy, feisty, independent woman. AJ was just the woman for Kane. The plot is set at Eurovision...that's enough to make me cringe, but Caitlyn gives us an action packed read full of fun banter. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Fab new series to get stuck into!

Kane and his Night Storm team members got a bit battered on their last mission. But when Intel surfaces that one of the major events being held in Oman is being targeted by terrorists, they're back in the saddle and riding to the rescue.

Kane is a bit gobsmacked at his assignment. What the hell is the Eurovision and why is Asher so goddamn happy about it?!?!? When he meets the liaison, AJ, though the assignment starts to brighten up. She is stunning, super capable, funny and has mind like a steel trap. She also genuinely cares for those she looks after.

A J was quite happy floating from one job to another, they finances her seeing the world after all. Kane, however, gets all her girly bits clamouring for attention. He sees her as a capable person, not just as a capable WOMAN. He isn't intimidated by her but he still wants to protect her, not because she can't take care of herself but because she is very suddenly very important to him.

They don't exactly have a lot of time together alone, especially in the Middle East where it would be frowned upon. What time they do get though they spend wisely. They really bond over hidden snacks and liquor! I also loved the way that Kane's teammates took gret joy in ribbing him and AJ and flirting with her outrageously!

This team will go against orders if they think it's the right thing to do - my kind of heroes!

Great read, fab characters, snarky dialogue - what's not to love!
