Didn’t really enjoy this book, only wanted to finish it cause I had started. Didn’t feel as if the book engaged me enough. The main character was very unlikeable.

Simply horrible. Nothing happened until the very end, not even little bits of information to keep us intrigued. The main character is so stupid and annoying and she doesn't think before the acts. The ending was very lacklustre and the whole book didn't feel like a thriller/mystery at all

Lost Child was an absolute brilliant psychological thriller that I thoroughly enjoyed reading, I was drawn in by the story from beginning to end.

A Shocking Twist

An amazing! I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through the book! It only took me two days to finish the whole book.

The only good thing about this book was the idea of a child going missing at a fete. After that the book descends rapidly into awfulness. This isn't gripping at all. There is no danger to the main protagonist, Beth.
As a character she is selfish, paranoid and totally unrealistic as she hates everyone who isn't part of her family.
The book is overwritten with too much unnecessary detail as everything is over described. This happens especially when Beth enters a place, from the countryside on a walk or the furniture in a room.
The conclusion was head scratching and didn't work and you wonder how the perpetrator of the crime was able to cover it up for so long.
Perhaps the author should read [b:Just What Kind of Mother Are You?|16071790|Just What Kind of Mother Are You?|Paula Daly|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1363837221l/16071790._SY75_.jpg|21865795] by [a:Paula Daly|6175529|Paula Daly|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1364759256p2/6175529.jpg] to understand how to write a gripping book about a missing child with believable characters.

WoW!!!! Ok. This was a REALLY good read. I'm not going to say any names but I was beginning to think something was wrong with her. My assumptions were partly RIGHT. You don't want to put this book down until you find out......I hope you all ENJOY as much as I did.
