This read so much quicker than Oathbringer for me. I appreciated that Sanderson did not try to focus on all the main characters equally, and instead focused on moving the meta-plot forward, and the fourth ideal.

Compared to the other books in the series, I didn't find this conclusion to be as epic as the previous three installments, but it didn't need to be. It was more intimate, and I found it to be the most emotionally poignant.

Looking forward to the rest of this series. Sanderson has definitely set it up to expand well beyond where we have been, and as the cast expands, and the cosmere comes into play, I can only imagine how epic this will get. My favorite aspects continue to be the ideals the radiants uphold and grow into, and the maturation and development the characters have to undergo in order to make the world better. It's so much more than fighting bad guys. Especially when the bad guys aren't very clearly evil.

While reading this, I was sure it was 600 pages too long, but Sanderson knows how to end a novel so well, that you understand why it took 1200 pages (57 hours) to get there.  It is the perfect length of a magnificent story.  The final chapter & epilogue were *chef's kiss* and locked in the 5 star rating for me.

Another fantastic entry in what has become my favourite fantasy series. Now begins the long wait for the Knights of Wind and Truth!
