This read was like a cross between a traditional Hallmark movie and a Hallmark Mysteries movie. Although it broke a lot of my cozy mystery rules, and you have to throw logic out the window to enjoy this cozy, it is well worth it. So many things didn't make sense - she's an assistant to an Interior Designer in NY but somehow has unlimited money to open her own antique store in the UK??? - the guy who has the bakery across from her is young, good-looking, and single and immediately falls in love with her - she's able to get a UK business license in like 2 days....

There were so many things that had you rolling your eyes, but the writing provided such a lightheartedness to the story that it's really just a fun, quick read. Oh yea, there is a murder and Lacey kind of solves it, but as all good cozy mysteries with a love story, there was a happy ending for all.

If you'd looking for a romantic cozy and willing to overlook the unbelievable, then this is the book for you!

First in a new series, a gal reevaluates her life after a divorce and moves to a town in England she remembers vacationing with her long absent father. She decides to follow in his footsteps as an antique shop owner. She squires a dog, and a beau, and a hateful neighbor not to mention being suspected of murder by everyone in town. Crime solving commences. Look forward to more in the series!

The main character cuddly became snippy and self-centered and just unlikeable -- a total turn around the the  same character in the first two books.. Due to this, I won’t finish the series.

La historia en sí, es pasable. Entretenida.
