I enjoyed this book. However, at times it was a bit hard to follow, but all the loose ends tied up nicely at the end.
It was slow starting but dropped many hints that kept me intrigued. I did like the twists and turns, it was entirely predictable near the end which was nice. The characters weren’t that likeable and many times I found myself rolling my eyes at Helen’s need to be liked and general immaturity. In the end I had a lot of empathy for her. For the most part I found Selena was maybe misunderstood, but in the end you realize exactly what she is and that was probably the biggest plot twist for me.

Once it started to pick up I couldn’t put it down. I’m excited to see what the author comes up with next but for a first novel, thumbs up!

Years ago, Serena and Daniel witnessed Rachel’s rape. They didn’t tell anyone and didn’t talk to anyone, but Rachel saw them. Helen (Daniel’s wife) befriends Rachel and starts to notice weird patterns while also feeling like she kept losing her memory at important times. It seems Serena was drugging her and having an affair with Daniel.

Rachel wanted revenge on all of them. She befriends Helen but then she just disappeared. It seems Daniel killed her and started to make plans to flee with Serena. Poor Helen had no idea and pregnant about to have Daniel’s baby. Helen discovers notes written between Serena and Daniel (W standing for wolf), but Helen didn’t know it was from Daniel to Serena.

Meh. Predictable. Not really much of a thriller. Skip it if you’ve got something else on your TBR.
