I had no real expectations when I picked up this book.
I got it as I have followed iJustine on various networks on and off for years. So to read this, seemed like a logical step.
I was not let down with the book, it was fun, and quirky, much like her. It did seem to drag on in parts, but I did figure that would happen at times.
I am glad I got it, and glad I read it.
And on to the next book.... ;)

If you love Justine like I do, listen to this on audiobook. It was 100% worth the wait.

It took me a while to read but I got there eventually. I wasn't around for a lot of Justine's earlier success since I was a little kid but she's one of my favourite Internet personalities. I relate to her so much and this book was great because it really introduced me to the small details of her past I was not aware of. I recommend this read if you're bit of a tech freak like myself because Justine really made me appreciate the technology we are blessed with today.

First off, let me just admit something: iJustine is my favourite Internet personality. Do I watch her all the time? No. Do I follow her every movement? No. Do I love her? Yes.
iJustine is the reason I have such an appreciation of technology; of apple, of Macs, of iPhones. She was the first person I watched regularly online, and she's one of the very few people I've stayed with all these years (2008 perhaps?). Yes, Justine, I remember the Cheeseburger video showing up in my subscriptions. #amiold?
With the platform her phenomenal online presence has given her, Justine has finally written the book a lot of us have been waiting for. The questions have been answered. Why did she start? How did it all happen?
If you're looking for a memoir that will give every nitty gritty detail about Justine's life, then you won't find that here. If you're a fan of Justine, you probably won't be surprised. She's not Kim Kardashian, she doesn't make every aspect of her life known. There's always privacy. Always. But is this book any less enjoyable because we don't know her relationships, her personal life? No. Of course not.
What "I, Justine" is is a love letter to technology. It's a wonderful background to Justine's career and, more than anything, it's an inspiring story to those who read it. Throw away your reservations, Justine writes, because if you aren't being yourself, then what's the point? You see here a woman who hasn't compromised herself, has always remained true and strived to enforce her own integrity throughout her life and career. This is admirable, and after reading I now actually have a clearer view on where I want to be in life: I want to be happy, and I want others to be too.
That's it. That's iJustine.
If you want a life affirming read that has some excellent technological insight and knowledge then this is for you. If you want to know why, rather than how, to have a career like Justine's, then this is for. If you love the Internet this is for you. But most importantly, if iJustine has ever made you smile, made you laugh, or made you feel better about yourself, then this book is for you.

I really enjoyed this book. It gave so much detail that I not only learned more about Justin herself but random facts about the internet in general and sites that I use daily. It felt like I was watching a video of her sitting in her room, just explaining her life to me. I love the pictures throughout the book, and the stories of Steve Jobs basically being scared of her made me a little sad since she really isn't the crazed stalker she pkayed in her videos. Overall, I think the book was very well done. I was happy to read it.

Although she sounds like a smart, passionate woman, none of the content she describes making interests me enough to check out even one video.
