Love this book. I like how positive it is. I feel like so many books there days are all about doom and gloom that this book brings so much  joy . The end is a bit too much out of a sudden where sudd nly  all these people suddenly had a liking to each other (especially Jamie and Sadie Dean) without much building up that it caught me by surprise. I Like Jamie and Jimmy, not so much  Aunt Polly. She didn't seem to care that Pollyanna loves Jimmy and judge Jimmy by his family (before she knows about Jimmy's true ancestry that he's actually from a rich family). And she's so miserable. What disturbed me was how readily Pollyanna was ready to marry John Pendleton ( back when he thought John liked him)just because her deceased mom said no to John before . Pollyanna was really young she shouldn't marry John. This book is also funny in a lot of ways and it's an enjoyable read.especially the part where Pollyanna didn't know what socialist was.

3.5 stars. I liked this for the same reasons I liked Pollyanna, but the predictable love triangles at the end made me feel a little more 'eh' towards this book. I still recommend for anyone who likes the concept of finding the good in every situation and who doesn't mind their books a bit overly sweet.

it wasnt necessarily bad but i found myself skimming a lot of parts and being bored. also she was just suddenly 20 and her richness disappeared and it was strange but the plot was decent. also the same theme over and over again gets kinda boring so im glad it was spiced up with some romance as she finally wasnt just a little girl anymore. all in all, it just didnt really stick out to me as much as the first one did.
oh and also the poverty problem didnt really get "solved"? it just... got ignored, yeah.

Review - I didn't like Pollyanna Grows Up as much as I liked Pollyanna. I just felt the story was slower and it jumped around more. Pollyanna seemed less like Pollyanna than in the previous book - and I can't believe they killed off Dr Chilton! I did love the developing relationship between Pollyanna and Jimmy, and the one between Jamie and Sadie. I was hoping that Aunt Polly's story would have a happy ending, or at least be resolved, but it wasn't, and that was a letdown.
