Lyonne has done it again. There isn't a single book of hers that doesn't make me fall completely in love with her characters, and D was no exception. With every species Lyonne writes about, we inevitably fall in love. The relationship between Lela and D is beautiful from the beginning. We see both characters grow, especially D, and how those feelings for Lela develop within the relationship. This story has so much romance, smut, mystery, and a futuristic touch that I must add that the way the world-building was described was executed perfectly. It's my first android romance and I was not disappointed. This story completely enchanted me; the romance is sweet and melts your heart with love for them. The epilogue was beautiful and touched my heart. I would read this book again; it has become one of my favorites.

I really loved this one!! I feel like there needs to be more AI/cyborg/robot romances. I love to see the growth and them learning more about human emotion and what they’re experiencing is the same thing.

Bonus points: I loved that D watched 🌽 so he can learn how to be a better lover. Reminds me so much of Garrus from Mass Effect.

I enjoy Lyonne Riley's writing. I usually am not into sci-fi space/robot-type stuff, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved Programmed for Love. D is a super sweet android who isn't capable of human emotion and is ridiculed and teased by their fellow cargo members. Lela was a very likable character as well. I enjoyed the dynamic between the two characters and the spicy scenes. I recommend this book if you want a quick, sweet, steamy romance between an Android and a human. There is a little bit of mystery on board the cargo ship, and D and Lela try to figure it out and grow closer in the process. A little bit of misunderstanding and lots of longing for one another. Single POV Under 200 pages. The epilogue is probably one of the best I have read. I cried like a baby.
I am looking forward to reading whatever Lyonne Riley writes in the future, as I have not been disappointed yet.

I've had all of Lyonne's books on my TBR for a while because they all sound so interesting. I already had a feeling I would like this, given the premise and all that, but I still hadn't read anything by her so I wasn't sure what to expect exactly.
I'm happy to say this book surprised me in many ways and I loved it so much. It's a light read, yet it'll still hurt your heart a little at times. And Lela and D are super adorable together.

I’m at a loss for words. How to describe something that made me feel so much in just a little time.
The growth that I wasn’t sure would happen that did with D was absolutely heartwarming.
I was swept away with the devotion that Lela had for D and what he grew to reciprocate towards her.
I can’t comprehend everything I felt and put it into words but that sweet care D gave Lela for her revealing her feelings every time and him thinking he couldn’t have the same feelings for her but respecting her in so ways. It was amazing and I may have cried multiple times because of how beautifully this was written and the soul bonding connection they had together.
Definitely don’t read the Epilogue if you want to image perfection afterwards but if you don’t mind as Lyonne said a bittersweet ending then read it, it was peaceful
