So good!

This series perfectly combines relationship angst and crime drama.. The book is third person POV about Will, who doesn't know who he can trust, both in his relationship and with fellow coppers.

Hoping for a 4th book!

Ending a favorite series is a bittersweet experience. On one side you craved the answers to the mysteries and the longed-for HEA. On the other had, it is over and you'll lose the author's voice, the milieu and the people within. Some times I make myself stop reading a favorite book, just to prolong the dreaded conclusion. Or I begin reading other books from the author's oeuvre. But alas I can only wait for Dal MacLean to publish some more books -which I will definitely read.
Because, this book was good! This series were very good!

I can't believe it's over. This series has taken me through the wringer. I've never simultaneously hated and loved the romance in a book. I still carry some resentment towards Tom and Ben but alas! They won me over at the end, somewhat. And the mystery! How it all interconnected with the previous two books was amazing. Anyway, that's enough angsty books for me. I've had my fill for the rest of the year

I absolutely loved this series and it would be amazing to have another book from this author. The books kept me on the edge of my seat throughout and were so well-written. The mystery was so good! Characters were so well-realized.

I’m not sure if this is the end of the series or if there is more coming. It kind of ends with a bit of cliffhanger as to what may be the result of the investigation into this crime. I am hoping for more as I love the series.

In this third book several lines from the previous two books come together in a brilliant way. I applaud the author’s clever and creative planning and I would have loved to have seen and heard the master plan she started with. Was it all here or did some of develop after she started?

In this book Will is battling on both professional and personal grounds and he is seeing betrayal everywhere. The story arc moves well and is so fraught with tension you just wonder when it’s all going to implode.

There are two major crisis points for the crime story and I think I held my breath the whole time I read both. There are also two big crisis points for the romance storyline and I was choked up reading those.

I think some of the story elements were obvious and I was annoyed that Will missed them. And if there isn’t going to be another book in the series then we really needed a much better epilogue. But I’m really hoping there’s another book as there was far too much left on the table here.
