One of the most down-to-earth and honest relationship books I've read. I would recommend for anyone who needs a change in how they are doing things.

I had read the audio version from the library. I think the audio version is the only way to do her justice. I love love love this book! She is such a hoot! I live her humor. I loved how she was extremely open minded and gave some great tips. There are swear words, so if you get offended easily. But this is a really refreshing way to look at life and relationships. A definite must read.

I was expecting more takes on the author’s single life stories, but I suppose since the title of the book did emphasize on relationships, I was getting to the wrong book. Hope one day Whoopi could center the singles in her upcoming books, being one of the few single-at-hearts she is! I’d still recommend the book; realistic, uplifting, and humbling at the same time!

DNF at around 75%. Not particularly constructive advice, and moreover, I found it toxic to listen to. It made me really dislike Goldberg, and I realised I didn't respect her or her opinions enough to finish the book.

I love Whoopi Goldberg's sense of humor. This book is not so much a humorous book as it is a self-help book for the person who is struggling with relationships, Whoopi style. Whoopi has opinions and she shares them with you. You may or may not agree with the details, but the overall theme is that you have to take care of you first and be yourself before you can be in a relationship. Be honest and open from the start and never compromise.

I would have liked to see more of her humor coming through. It was still fun to listen to her read (I listened to the audio book) but overall it wasn't a book/message I thought I needed to hear, but it may be good for people that need a new outlook on their own relationships.
