This is honestly an excruciating read, and I had to read it in parallel with a much lighter book. I’m talking my stomach hurt at some scenes. But wow to write from this pov and still be able to convey the humanity of it is a pretty insane accomplishment from a writing standpoint. 5 stars just for that alone.

Noah is the all American boy. Perfect in everyway, at least that's what his parents think. They have the perfect family, and then Noah confesses. What he confesses to will tear their family apart.

A don't think this book was proofread very good. There were a lot of sentences that were missing a word. Very irritating to me. There are a lot of heavy topics in this book. Some disgusted me. I thought about DNFing it a couple of times, but glad I read it. The next to last chapter was the one that made my rating go from 1⭐ to 2⭐. If Goodreads did 1/2⭐, it would have been 1 1/2⭐.

4.5 ⭐️ BITCHHHHH this story was wild! Words can’t even describe the way this book has me feeling. CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE READING!!!! This book is so fucked up man. It’s about a mom who’s fighting for the life of her son who is a pedophile and no matter how much help she got for him nothing changed those urges he had. The plot in this book caught me by surprise. No way did I think it would be what it was.

Trigger warnings needed for this one. This book began from a point of view I could barely bear to read and ended with what I can only call emotional turmoil. Hard hitting, wept throughout and left me staring at the wall when I’d finished. A bitter tale of unwavering and unconditional love.
