This was the perfect companion piece to the Daevabad trilogy! I’d even go so far as to say essential, it really helped solidify my understanding of the worldbuilding and motivations of the other characters. Perfection

I enjoyed some of these a lot and others were just fine! The last few that act as an extended epilogue to the series were my favorites.

I liked getting an early Dara POV story and the Muntadhir and Jamshid stories. But the rest were kind of dull or unrelated tangents that didn’t engage me much.

What a treat to return to the world of Daevabad! I loved this collection not only because I've been dying to go back but also because it tied up loose ends I didn't even know I wanted tied up! As always, Chakraborty's prose, characters, and world-building are exquisite. And now I need a whole novel of Dara, Zaynab, and Aqisa's adventure!!! A trio I did not see coming but am deeply satisfied by (along with the connotations of Zaynab and Aqisa's narrative...
