This was really really good. There were just a few small parts throughout that were a little flat for me and that's the only thing that kept it from being a five star.

Did I just read 400 pages of omega verse smut?
Yes.Yes, I did.

I’m so surprised by the way the book hooked me. I was not expecting it. I loved the amazing communication between main characters. Since this book involves BDSM and ranking(omegaverse so like alpha, beta, omega) it was really refreshing to see it so beautifully done.
P.S. AND THAT SLOW BURN???? Perfect. Cannot wait to see it bloom

Excuse me, did this book really call God the Sky Daddy? I pretty much died. And it was reason enough to give it 5 stars.

But in all seriousness now, this book was amazing. It was impossible to stop reading, it sucked me in completely. I loved every character and relationship. And the evil cliffhanger is going to torment me all the way to next year.

You have no idea how friking excited I got when I realized the pack of alphas had a female alpha and the protagonist was going to get involved with her. This is my first reverse harem omegaverse where the main female character has a female love interest in the pack. And I’m so hestatic!!!!

Plus, Alexandra was such an intriguing character. I can’t wait to learn more about her. She was so incredibly hot, god help me.

Lydia was one of the best female omega protagonist I’ve read so far. She was vulnerable and tender but she was also badass and sassy. I loved her funny comebacks and how fierce she could be.

Rhett and Mateo were great by themselves, but together they were amazing. Their relationship with Lydia was so well done, it was addictive.

My only complain is that some of Lydia’s flashbacks with her abusive ex were a bit too explicit, which was unnecessary. But overall, I found her backstory very relevant. From her super religious parents, to her abusive ex and how her family had taken his side. I love it when omegaverse reflects on our society issues, especially when it focuses on sexism and its direct effects on women’s lives.

Well I didn’t realize this was only the first book in the series and I got to 90% thinking dang this is wrapping up quickly. Well that ending OMG. I’m gonna have a hangover from this book. I’m obsessed with the pack and Lydia. I honestly feel like the author did a great job writing all of these trauma/ptsd scenes and the mental state and processes that all of these characters are going through. Gosh I yelled when I got to the end of this book and I can’t wait to see what progress this pack makes going forward.

3.5. I kinda went into this one blind, and by the cover alone and in this one we have a omega:alpha type romance which I’m not that familiar with! But this was a good story! It is a reverse Harmen story and we have Lydia who’s scent is smelled by Rhett an alpha and he can’t help but be attracted to her. Rhett is part of a pack with Alexandria at Claire as the pack leader Mateo and Lucas are also a part of. Lydia can’t help but feel safe with everyone in the pack and finds her self falling for Rhett and Mateo and a good friendship with Lucas. Lydia has been running for a long time and for once she isn’t having to hide who she is and running they accept her and love her for her. But there is also lots of baggage that Lydia and the St Claire pack both have that comes band to haunt them! But for once they don’t have to face it alone! This book was full of spice drama relationships but please check trigger warnings before reading!

Lilacs and Leather by Thora Woods is an omegaverse romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Matt Haynes and Maeve York. This is the first book in the Pack Saint Clair series.

This is the first book of Thora's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I am loving the relationship that is blooming between Lydia, Rhett, Mateo, Lucas, and Alexandra. I can't wait to see how it will progress over the course of the series. I really enjoyed getting Lydia, Rhett, and Mateo's points of view throughout the book.

The book ended on a great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series Lavender and Lightning so I can get more of their story.

Matt and Maeve did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like omegaverse romances or contemporary romances.

Devoured this! This is the first Omegaverse novel I've read but as a former kid with no internet restrictions this, of course, isn't my first foray into the Omegaverse world.

The pack dynamics in this are so well developed and you can tell that the author really went beyond "yeah alphas and omegas fuck a lot" and put effort into making this a believable world with laws and customs surrounding A/B/O.

At first, I found Lydia to be a bit too much of a Mary Sue but she really grew on me throughout the book and I loved seeing her different relationships with all the pack members develop.

The angst is deep with this one and I'm sure we'll get a lot of drama in the future and I'm here for it! I wish more RH/poly novels were series instead of standalones, as we can get so much more individuality in their relationships that way. Personally, I'm just here for more Lex content 😉
