This has been on my TBR for a while and I'm glad I finally got around to it.  It has some darker elements, but I really enjoyed the openness and real conversations the characters had. Not to mention how the relationships develop. Fair warning, it ends on a cliffhanger.

Will I be jumping into the next book? Yes, definitely.

Devoured this! This is the first Omegaverse novel I've read but as a former kid with no internet restrictions this, of course, isn't my first foray into the Omegaverse world.

The pack dynamics in this are so well developed and you can tell that the author really went beyond "yeah alphas and omegas fuck a lot" and put effort into making this a believable world with laws and customs surrounding A/B/O.

At first, I found Lydia to be a bit too much of a Mary Sue but she really grew on me throughout the book and I loved seeing her different relationships with all the pack members develop.

The angst is deep with this one and I'm sure we'll get a lot of drama in the future and I'm here for it! I wish more RH/poly novels were series instead of standalones, as we can get so much more individuality in their relationships that way. Personally, I'm just here for more Lex content 😉

I don’t usually read human omega verse because they r always very rapey; this one was only rapey in past (not the current) relationship though. I’m going to keep reading purely ‘cuz I’m curious about the FF relation to develop.

The BDSM relationships were surprisingly pretty well written, there was a full discussion about scenes and boundaries before anything happened, it was great.

I hope Seth and Darren die a slow and painful death in a firey car crash.

The cliffhanger ending was not the cliffhanger I was expecting, kinda weird, but okay Ig, wasn’t really necessary.
ends in a car crash, I swear to fucking god if Darren or Seth was driving that car and kidnaps her, I am not finishing this series, because I will have kms

I did enjoy this book. It's an omegaverse story in an urban setting, which is a favourite of mine. Amongst some of the better in this category, this book only took me 24 hours to get through, though there was a little bit of skimming in the sections that were unnecessarily lengthy.
The characters are all flawed but funny and somewhat loveable. I liked the dynamics of the relationships for the most part, though wish there was a little more individual time between Lydia and Lucas/Lex so that we could see those relationships develop.
I didn't love the main conflict being one of previous SA and DV. It was a bit of a cop-out and seems to be the one thing we wont ever escape in omegaverse. The cliff hanger is also something I don't like, though I understand why its often used in indie publishing.
Overall, I recommend to omegaverse lovers and will read the second book to see what happens.
