Loved it!
Read it again for YTT and still thought it was an interesting. I appreciated this version and especially this authors interpretation and chapter by chapter explanation.

This was a good translation of the Gita, however I do think my favorite translation may be the first one I read which was the Bhagavad Gita, As It Is. Overall though, the only complain I have is that the summary appears before the text of the gita, so if I flip through the chapters I am first presented with the translator's notes and not the actual text of the Gita. Overall though, this was a fine edition to give a read, and I did appreciate the flowing story that is present in each chapter as opposed to other versions I have read where there is a great divide between verses and chapters.

Not really a book you can give a star rating to, as a spiritual exploration of the concepts of dharma, reincarnation and ethical behaviour. I'm glad I have read it through now, especially as I've been teaching students about Hinduism for several years!

Always funny trying to come up with a rating for ancient religious/philosophical texts. Profound.
