This was fun and cute! I liked the alternate history sort of thing the author did with England and Arthurian legends and that
the main characters find love letters between King Arthur and Lancelot because hi hello QUEER PEOPLE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HERE?!

Anyway, Arthur is babygirl and I’m also in love with Bridget (how can you not be) and I loved the cat! Books should have more orange cats in them.

I do have to wonder why sexism and homophobia and religious bigotry exist in this book but racism doesn’t? The main male character is brown and the female love interest is also brown but no one objects to them being nobles? Idk, there should have been more thought put into that. Seems like a weird thing to gloss over.

I wasn't super into this book at first. I found Arthur annoying, and I think part of that was the narrator for his chapters in the audiobook. I was hoping he might go through some character development and I'd like him more, which happened so gradually I didn't even realize it was happening until I was practically crying for him. The book in general has a bit of a slow start and it took me a while to get invested in the characters and get a sense of where the plot was going. The end kind of rushed at me and I found it hard to put down in the last 70%. There is a pretty big tonal shift after that point as well, I didn't expect it to go as dark as it did. I kind of wish this had stayed a bit more lighthearted.

witty and romantic! the first third was a bit slow but the plot and romance kicked in and made it a page turner in the end. a lovely queer historical romance.

A fun and super cute read! I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump and this was the perfect book to get me out of it!

Really enjoyed this read!! It was such a fun story, and I thought the characters were unique and lovable. It reminded me of a webcomic I used to follow, High Class Homos! I thought it had a good balance of fun and funny moments along with emotional and dark moments as well. The characters felt very fleshed out, and the world was intriguing, I truly enjoyed this book.

Ah this really hit the spot. Read it in one day and it just solidly delivered what I was hoping for. Easy to read YA, rom-com still covering serious things but with a light touch, well-written characters that aren't one-dimensional, Camelot vibes plus everyone is gay. Iconic. Honestly I was a bit confused by the world-building but that may be on me for having read it so quickly. Anyway, would solidly recommend, especially for anyone wanting an easy pick-me-up or getting back into reading.
