I read this book in one sitting, it was a fun light-hearted read. That said it did take me some time to adjust to the writing style. Some of the slang took me out of the book at first but I ended up liking it and even had some laughs because of it. There was also issues with the pacing but I think for a fun romance based on DnD I didn’t mind it one bit (it felt like the pacing  in a campaign I was in, which like the book was constantly moving to the next task immediately). Overall a fun read!

So cute! I would recommend to anyone trying to get into the fantasy genre. 

Cinnamon in her drunk stupor saves a demon. Now she has to help the demon kill the goddess of the land.

Guys I think this might be my first 6 star in years. I am absolutely in love with this book, and the characters, and Kimberly's writing. I loved everything about this book, it was a perfect mix between insta love and slow burn. I love fallon, he might be my new favorite book boyfriend. I need to read the rest of this series immediately. I have not had a story that affected me as much as this one has in a long time. I feel like I will be thinking about this book (especially Fallon) for months

I can't wait to read the rest of these books. This was so good. Enemies to lovers, fast paced, "touch her & die". Diverse characters, great adventure sequences, and the spice: 🔥🔥🔥🔥

The dialogue really left something to be desired.
This book had a very strong start with interesting characters and a unique premise. It lost a bit of its luster about 3/4 of the way through, when the plot seems secondary to (in my opinion) overbearing possessiveness. The very end portion of action, which should have been similar to a final boss battle in a video game, was the easiest of all the trials and was resolved within a page or so.
The ending didn’t quite sit right with me either, there’s protectiveness and there’s creepiness.

A fun, fast-paced story that balances more serious themes alongside its light-heartedness without sacrificing either. 

The book does quick work at setting up its premise and world building, allowing the characters room to shine. And shine they do! All the characters have big personalities, regardless of how much or little they show up. Usha's addition was probably my favourite, as she was a much needed force of nature to balance out all of the men. 

The characters all also felt very distinct from each other, which was impressive in a book so fast-paced.

The romance was very fast for my taste, but is something others might enjoy. I just found myself far more interested in the characters and their banter than the romance.

A really fun read, good if you want some light-hearted fantasy that still has stakes to it!
