This book is 2 different books in one. First half and second half do not connect besides having the same main characters. Now, first half was everything I hate in a book. I hated Althea from page one. I found her whiny and too into herself. She thought she was sassy and witty and "not like every other girl" when in reality she was rude and egocentric. Also I honestly do not know what Morgan saw in her because she was extremely rude and condescending to him since the moment they crossed paths. Like he said hi and she was like oh he's so full of himself and prissy and thinks he's better than everyone and I was here like "am I missing pages because I don't remember reading any of this".
Also I feel like the first 40% if this book were unnecessary drama for the plot. The actual plot took of at 50% and we never saw or heard of the people mentioned in the first half so what was the point?
Now, although I realize who the killer was pretty early on i found the second half much better written and way more entertaining than the first one. The Althea actually showed some personality here and I sorta not dislike her in the end. My favorite character was Poppy, he made the book/plot/story move forward and gave me the most entertaining parts of this story.
I think if the book was only the second half I'd have enjoyed it a lot more.

Thank you to the author and publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
