I read this because it was the continuation of the story in A Dark Vampire Curse and I wanted to know more about those characters. They make a brief and entertaining appearance and I don’t think this is the last the series will see of them.
As for this story, it was less cheesy than I was expecting, which was nice considering it’s leaning hard into the whole special girl trope.
I do enjoy the way the author explores how a supernatural being walking openly around the northern U.S. would affect everyone.
