This was simply a great book. It had the best combination of a little bit of everything along with a deep, impactful overall message primarily regarding teen suicide. In between, there were sprinkles of romance, family issues, adventure, mystery, and more. It was eye-opening as it commented on the existence of so-called suicide support groups, which was an important message despite how awful it seems. This is in fact people's realities and the way the author wrote it resonates with many while simultaneously shedding light on this taboo topic. It follows Cody, a teenager / young woman living in a small town, after her best friend, Meg, commits suicide. She attempts to uncover the mysteries behind her decision, something that many who have lost a loved one may relate to. The way in which the book follows how Cody discovers aspects of her friend's life that were concealed from her, important life questions and issues, as well as parts of herself that she did not know existed pinpoint what many may experience at low points in their life. It puts many people's issues into words, reminding us that we are not alone. It was such an engaging read and I could not help but finish it in one day, over only two sittings.

The beginning is good. Then i sort of got detached from Cody and her "quest". I didnt really understand her motive. But then... BAM! The end. The end killed me. I did shed a tear. I really liked how it was write. We can follow Cody through the stages of grief. It's beautiful yet sad.
Please, dont let people live what the characters lived. They do care.

It IS a book about suicide. So it will talk A LOT about suicide, suicidal thoughts, ways to die. However, this book also tells the other side of the medal : the ones left behind. We can see the pain, the sadness, the anger, the grief. It can be a lot to read if you are sensible to all of this.
