I love lots of pages and at around 700 this s my cup of tea. The MC’s grew up on the h’s family estate. The H’s family was the help. In the great flip flop the H Emery’s family loses it all meanwhile Nash the H becomes a billionaire hotelier. Due to the scandal regarding her family’s fall from grace the h changes her last name and starts working for Nash… eventually he realizes who she is and the games begin. I really enjoyed all 700 pages of this slow burn.

is there a better feeling than starting a book with zero expectations and then said book becoming one of your absolute favorites?

This was so good! Revenge and enemies to lovers tropes at its best. Lots of angst, complex relationship with characters that had depth. An amazing heroine and a ruthless but incredibly alluring hero. Ugh and the steam. Beautiful.

After reading the acotar series, I was in a book depression and nothing looked appealing. I saw this on tik tok and thought it looked decent. It was a good way to ease back into authors that aren't as life altering as Sarah J Maas. I think the book had potential and the storyline was good, I just wasn't fond of the writing style. It was a little choppy and I felt like sometimes there were parts that I didn't understand like I was missing information. I did like the plot twist, but it wasn't too shocking. That being said, still liked it for the most part just wouldn't recommend.
